Our members are our number #1 priority and we are dedicated to safeguarding each user's personal information using state-of-the-art technology and strict management procedures. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (also known as COPPA), no website operator can require that a child under the age of 13 (hereinafter "Child" or "Children") disclose more information than is reasonably necessary for participation in that activity.
In strict compliance with this regulation, Action AllStars will never ask for more information than we need for any given activity. We also take additional steps to prevent Children from disclosing personal information on our site by adding various filters, multiple safety-verified CHAT options, content screening, and around the clock monitoring from trained, professional staff.
Action AllStars requires non-personal information upon free registration. The information collected during free registration (username, firstname, zip code, age, gender) cannot be used to personally identify any individual Child, as dictated by COPPA. For the Children who provide an age of 13 or younger, we ask the Child to provide the email address of a parent or guardian (hereinafter "Parent") in order to notify that Parent of the child's account. We do this because we believe in working WITH Parents, so they are aware of the Child's online activities. For Children 13 or younger, upon completing the Action AllStars registration process, Parents will receive an email regarding the Action AllStars experience, with links to additional information. During subscription registration, we do require personal information necessary for processing, purchasing, and securing a valid subscription membership. This information is collected from the adult in control of the credit card.
Other than stated above, Action AllStars only collects personal information from Children in the following situations: The Child subscribes to an e-mail newsletter. In this case, we will use the e-mail addresses solely for the purpose of sending out news and updates regarding ActionAllStars.com. In addition, we wills end the Parent a notice that the Child has signed up for the newsletter, and the parent will be able to cancel the subscription if he or she so chooses. A submission is made to an online contest entry. In this case, the e-mail address collected is used only to contact the child once with a notice of the winners unless the child has opted, during the contest entry submission process, to subscribe to the e-mail newsletter. The Child sends us an e-mail message with a one-time request for help or information. In these cases, we'll respond to the e-mail message once and then delete the e-mail address and any other personal information that came with it. If there's a reason to e-mail the Child more than once, we will ensure we have parental consent first. Children who become members of Action AllStars may have opportunities to provide information about themselves, such as hobbies and favorite sports, which is never personally identifiable.
We do ask for identifiable information from adults who purchase subscriptions, either for themselves or on behalf of their Children. The information requested is necessary for the successful transaction and purchase of membership subscriptions.
If you, the parent/adult/guardian, decide to purchase a membership, additional financial information will be required at the time of purchase. That information is not stored by Action AllStars or Six Degrees Games, Inc, and, instead, is collected and stored by our payments processing vendor for the purpose of processing payments made to Action AllStars. That information is safeguarded with appropriate security, and Action AllStars and Six Degrees Games, Inc. will not be used for other purposes. Furthermore, our payments processing vendor has agreed to maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the personal and financial information it obtains from the Action AllStars website, and only to use this information on behalf of Action AllStars and Six Degrees Games. Our financial institution is bound by all applicable privacy laws relating to the provision of financial services.
As we continue to offer our visitors and members new types of content and services, we may modify our practices. However, all information we collect (including information collected for subscription purposes) will be treated in accordance to the privacy policy in effect at the time the information is collected. We will not change our use of the information in any material way without first getting explicit permission of the Parents.
Action AllStars never sells or rents our users' (Members, Account Holders and Visitors) personal information with third parties. We may use agents or contractors on occasion to provide services to our users, such as sending prizes to contest winners. In these cases, we require the agent or contractor to keep the information confidential, to use it only for the specific services they are performing and to delete the information after fulfilling those services.
We may use non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site, to personalize the experience for the members of Action AllStars, and to offer products, programs, and services. We may also aggregate this information to analyze site usage for products offers, programs, and services, as well as provide basic community research that will help better online media for youth everywhere.

For example, if you win a big contest, we may let an outside company ship the prize to you, but first they'll have to agree to keep your information confidential.
